Friends of Boroughbridge Primary School (FOBPS)

The Friends of Boroughbridge Primary School are an enthusiastic committee of parents and staff working hard on behalf of the School. The Friends raise funds to support ongoing financial commitments of the School and organise social events for the school community. Last year we raised over £5000 enabling us to provide new reading resources and help to continue to improve the children's learning environment. We aim to have fun as well as enabling staff and parents to get to know each other better and so building a close school community.

The Friends of Boroughbridge Primary School committee organise numerous events throughout the school calendar such as school discos, Chocolate Bingo and school fairs and much more! Delicious food and refreshments are always provided and the events are always fully supported by the wider community.

What do you get out of it?

Becoming involved in the Friends of Boroughbridge Primary School is a great way to get more involved with the school. You can help raise funds which directly benefit your child’s education.

What we need from you ...

  • Please support the events that are held during the year. There are lots of events held during the year, some for children, some for parents and some for the whole family. Please come along, help raise funds for the school and meet some new people.
  • Give a little time. There are always lots of things to do whether it’s selling tickets for the quiz night or helping with the bar at the Summer Disco! If you would like to help out either on a regular or adhoc basis, please let us know.
  • Come along to the Friends Meetings. The meetings provide a great opportunity to find out what the Friends of Boroughbridge Primary School are doing and have your say in what is being planned.

More information about Friends of Boroughbridge Primary School activities are published in the school newsletter.
