Our Grand Nursery Re-Opening

In February we had a grand re-opening of our fabulous new nursery unit. To celebrate the day Stray FM came along and we had many special visitors in school, including the Mayor. It was a fabulous day for everybody involved and our nursery children are thriving in their new surroundings.

Andrew Jones MP visits our nursery. Mary Kelly our Chair of Governors had the following to say about the visit:

Andrew Jones MP visited the school on 6 March 2015. He came for a visit as he was unable to come for our Official Nursery Re: Opening.
He was genuinely interested in all aspects of the school. We visited all areas of the school including Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes, in addition to Nursery and Reception. The visit was made more interesting as the staff and pupils were dressed up for Book Day!
Andrew commented on the lovely atmosphere in school and how welcoming and light it was! He remarked on our facilities, space and playing areas including the fields. Also, that the children obviously felt very happy, safe and secure as they were happy to chat with him. The children were polite and welcoming to their visitor and their behavior was excellent as usual.
It has been my to pleasure to showcase our school on a number of occasions over the last few weeks for: Head teacher Recruitment, Nursery Re:Opening and Andrews visit. All visitors have commented very favourably on our school and the good behavior of the pupils.
All the school community should feel proud of Boroughbridge Primary School & Nursery, and by working together we can ensure that it continues to go from strength to strength.
