School Council
Boroughbridge Primary School and Nursery school council is a democratically elected group of pupils who come together to discuss issues relating to the development of the school and their local community. Pupils are elected from each class, from Reception to Year 6. They discuss items that the pupils feel strongly and passionately about; for example, our rewards system, playtimes, clubs, and the charities they would like to support.

Books
Following our recent sponsored read the school council have worked with Usbourne books to create a wish list for their classes. They carefully selected books which interested them and linked to their topics.
Eat and Drink Healthy
To encourage our school and pupils to be healthy the school council created class posters which are displayed around school. They then presented these in a whole school assembly teaching their peers about the importance of healthy snacks and drinking water. To view their presentation to the school, please click here.
Active Playtimes
To try and get children more active at playtime the school council have been looking at fundraising and selecting a range of games and sports equipment.
