French

We teach French through the Primary Languages Network scheme, which teaches children through a variety of songs, games and activities. The focus in our lessons is oracy; learning the correct pronunciation and using the vocabulary in conversations. Each lesson is a building block on the previous lesson, to ensure progression throughout Key Stage 2. Before the children begin learning the language in Year 3, we start with an introduction to France and its culture. Programmes of study follow the National Curriculum.
